Things to do in the New Year

Spend time with family

Mike, Emily and Laura playing Pokeno on New Year's Eve.
We played for real money.  Everybody had to contribute $5.
It was intense until Emily won her money back.  

Take a daily walk

Mike moved the wild game camera over to the bean field where he was seeing deer tracks.
We walk by the camera on our walks so we can check for new pictures.
Here is one.  

Observe the construction of the new house

As of yesterday the sub floor is about 3/4's complete.  

Watch over our trees, grass and poultry

Mike and Emily are planting our live Christmas tree.
I decided to plant it over by the chicken coop so the chickens and ducks could get some shade in the hot summer months.
However, it will be some years before this tree provides any shade.
It is a very small tree.
