Goings-On

The construction of the new house has taken over our lives lately.  For the past two days it has been hard to find a parking space around here.  On one particular day, we had the plumber, heating guy, excavator, and normal construction crew on the premises and then the dairy farmer showed up.

The dairy farmer lives a mile or two down the road and uses firewood to heat his house and part of his milking barn.  He goes through a lot of firewood.  We have a lot of trees on the ground since we cleared land for the pond and the construction site.  So he came by with another neighbor to cut some of those trees and then cart off the wood.  Suffice it to say, at one point we even have our own traffic jam.

Besides the house, Mike and I do our best everyday to take a 2 or 3 miles walk as our form of exercise. It is also a good form of exercise for the dogs.  We always stop and check the game camera.  Here are the latest game pictures.

We hardly ever see rabbits.
Mike thinks the next picture showed the eyes of a predator fox so who knows if we still have a rabbit.

Another dangerous predator.
