Be careful what you wish for

The good news is that the weather was in the 40's today and the insulation guys could actually get some work done.  I got super excited when they showed up to work about 10 a.m.  We've been waiting on them for about 10 days.  The bad news is the truck couldn't make it up the driveway.  We received about 7 inches of snow on Saturday and it hasn't melted yet.  Then the situation went from bad to worse when the truck slid off the road and got impaled by a tree.

Mike went to get his dad's tractor to see if that would help but that didn't work.  The truck driver decided to go to another town and rent a backhoe.   He then used the back hoe and chains to haul the truck back up on the driveway and away from the tree limb.  They they used the backhoe to remove snow from the driveway.   They finally started to blow insulation into the house at 2 pm.

Did I mention today is trash day.  Doty Sanitation comes once a month to dump the contents of our dumpster.  Of course they came today between 10 am and 2 pm when the truck was stuck and blocking the driveway.

Anyway, the insulation job is about 80% complete.  The insulators said they would be back tomorrow.  I can hardly wait.
