'Just in Time' Plumbing works

The temperature got into the single digits last night.  That is when our plumbing usually freezes.  I have not been getting too excited about this situation because a) Mike usually only needs the blow dryer to fix it and b) my days in the shed are numbered.  I certainly won't care if the shed pipes freeze next winter when I am living in the new house.

I mentioned in an earlier blog that Mike and I had run to town to get plumbing pipe insulation and he was just installing it at 9 o'clock in the evening in anticipation of temperatures in the single digits that very evening.  He called it 'Just in Time' plumbing.  Fortunately it worked both that night and last night so the problem looks to be solved.

Now he tells me that the freezing pipes was a major problem.  Seems that the water pressure tank that is in the shed is the same water pressure tank that we will be using in the new house.  Using the same tank was a big money savings for us.  However, if this problem of the frozen water pipes had not been resolved, I would have been without water in the new house too.  Or needed to buy another water pressure tank for the new house.

Thank heavens for the 'Just in Time' plumber!  He saved me a lot of money and future aggravation.
