'It's fine,' he said

On Friday, I posted the following picture to illustrate the paint color I had chosen.

Here are the comments I received.

My friend, Debra Nowak, a woman of excellent taste and formerly a partner in a interior design business says in an email, "Love, love, love the paint color, Kim!'

Larry, our builder and a man I consider an expert in home paint colors as he has built over 30 houses and he sells real estate, says in an email, 'Really like the paint colors so far.'

Mike, my husband, said when I asked his opinion, 'It's fine.'

It's fine does not sound like a ringing endorsement of my color choice.  I went to Google to seek clarification for this comment.  Basically, most of the Internet sites I found said if a woman says it's fine it is anything but fine.   However, if a man says it is fine he means that it is fine and he doesn't want to talk about it anymore.

So I waited two days and asked again.  Now he says that since the paint has had time to dry it looks different and he likes the color.

Can't wait to hear his opinion of the other seven colors I have chosen.  But this time I will wait until the paint dries before I ask his opinion.
