Only in Illinois

In this the 150th anniversary year of Abraham Lincoln's assassination, the National Association of Lincoln Presenters is having its annual convention in Vandalia, Illinois.  I didn't get to see them but I have collected some pictures I found online and in the local Vandalia paper (the Leader Union) to show you.

This picture was actually taken in 2004 which was the last time the
National Association of Lincoln Presenters met in Vandalia.
I believe this picture is taken in the Old State House in Vandalia.
Lincoln served his 2nd term as a member of the Illinois state legislature in this building.  

I did see the dragon with his Lincoln top hat today when I was driving to WalMart.
