Two items off the bucket list
Today was very productive. I saw two sites that I had promised myself I would make the time to see during my lifetime.
Item #1
The family, all five of them, wanted to go see Meramac Caverns in Missouri. It is a seven level natural wonder that is possibly the oldest stop along historic Route 66. And supposedly Jesse James and his gang used it as a hideout. It is so rare that all of us want to do the same thing that I made sure we actually went. Suzanne's friend Heath joined us.

| I took this picture while on the cavern tour. In the picture is a pillar or column. It is made up of a stalactite (from the ceiling) joining a stalagmite (growing up from the floor). |
Item #2
The other day the brick layers made a suggestion about our front doorway. They suggested we curve the brick entrance to match the curve on the front door. Since they are the experts, Mike and I said go for it. Since then I have been waiting impatiently to see what it looked like. Today they finally started on the arch part. They should finish this entrance area in a day or two.

| To get to this point, the guys had to brick the two side walls and make a template from from the wood door. You can see the curved template at the top of the scaffolding resting on the two brick walls. |
