Playmates

I was concerned for awhile there that Frankie needed some playmates.  When we first brought him home all Gracie wanted to do was mother him and Mabel seemed jealous.  That made Mike his only playmate  With all the energy a puppy has, it seemed to me Frankie needed another playmate.  So I bought him one.

I bought Frankie a Kong Cozie Squeaker Toy moose.  It kind of looks like a child's stuffed teddy bear.  A lot of the reviewers said that their puppy loved this toy so much they carried it all over the house and even to bed at night.  Some, not all, said that they had it for months even though their dog had chewed, tossed and slobbered on it.  It seemed worth a try.  It arrived yesterday and Frankie does seem to like it.

In the meantime, Mabel has decided that maybe she doesn't have to be so jealous after all.  When Mike takes Frankie and Mabel over to Frank's house for their daily treat fix, all three basset hounds (including Emily, Frank's dog) rough house all over the family room floor.  So I am no longer concerned about Frankie having enough playmates to burn off all his excess energy.  Between, Mike, the girls visits, Gracie, Mabel and the new toy surely I will be able to make it through his puppyhood.
