Last Weekend before Senior Year

Emily had a last hurrah weekend at the pond.  She and her roommate Dana spent one night here where they were joined by Emily's Texas friend Laura Flannery.  Laura has been to the farm before but we still had to convince her and Emily to add the pond to their itinerary for the weekend.  Laura was on her way from Texas back to college in Iowa.  Emily also invited her sister Laura.

Actually I think the last time Laura Flannery was here in the summer was when she joined Emily and Mike for a vacation at the farm when the two girls were in grade school.  So we made sure she got the whole summer at the pond experience.  I made food items that included homegrown produce and our own eggs and Emily made sure she got blasted off of the blob.  We also introduced her to all the new chickens.  Emily decided to name one in her honor- a Isa Brown named Joanne (Laura's middle name).
