Emoji Party

Both Frank and Suzanne have birthdays in December so we celebrated them together.  The theme of the party was Emoji's mainly because I found cute party stuff at the dollar store.  Frank actually did not know anything about the theme of his party but he likes to keep current on the technology especially as it pertains to  communications (he has a smartphone after all) so I thought he would be open to learning about emoji's.

As a result of the party, we were able to introduce Frank to just a few of the more than one thousand emoji currently available for text messages.

Frank gravitated to the 'Cool' emoji with the black sunglasses whereas Suzanne demonstrated the classic 'Face with Tears of Joy' or 'Joy' emoji.

Lois like the 'Heart Eyes' Emoji for love whereas Emily just wanted to convey that she was the resident emoji expert.  

Both Laura and I just wanted to convey that we really liked the party theme.  

Frank was really turned off by the 'Poo' emoji and actually refused to eat his birthday cupcakes.  Fortunately the rest of us like them.  And he didn't eat the fruit 'Smiley Face' emoji either because he does not like grapes and blueberries.  But he did eat his emoji pancakes and emoji chocolate kisses favor.  So, overall, I'd say it was a very successful party.
