Pouring Concrete
We have had several construction projects on site this year. We built a gazebo and Morton Building Number 2. Neither were entirely finished. The gazebo needed landscaping and Morton Building Number 2 needed a concrete floor. MB2 ended up being finished first. The concrete guys got to work over the weekend.
Wade's concrete company has been swamped. According to him everybody that was considering a building project suddenly decided to go ahead all at the same time. Then we have had all this rain. He decided to work last weekend just to knock out one of his backlogged project- ours.
First he hired our favorite excavating guys, Nokomis Excavating, to deliver some rock to raise the floor of the shed. Mike enjoyed getting a chance to talk to those guys again.
I enjoyed watching them back up our new road all the way to the door. That took some maneuvering but they did it.
Then they dumped their rock. They told Mike it was too wet for Wade to get anything done but they delivered the rock as soon as possible anyway. Then they took off. Wade showed up soon after and put the rock in place but decided to wait a day or two for the concrete part.
I did not even mind waiting for the concrete. The building look so much more finished with a level floor. I am starting to see the possibilities for this building. Of course, it really is Mike's shed.
