A is for Apple

My birthday was last week.  We had a party.  The theme was apples because of my recent apple tree purchases.  My family finds my recent attempts to grow apple trees amusing.  As you know I went to the store to buy one tree but inadvertently had to buy two more so that all the trees would pollinate each other.  That's why we had not 1 but 3 apple pies for dessert.

We had to bring in our dessert chef from Dallas.  Suzanne and Heath were here at the farm for the weekend supposedly to do some projects for the wedding.  But really, out of all the weekends they could have picked they picked the one that was my birthday?!  Quite the coincidence!

Laura was also involved with planning the party.  She handled decorations.  We had a window banner and paper plates made to look like apples.  Our favors were apple stress balls.  (I will be putting mine to good use.)  Heath added the apple candles and the bird made from slices of apple.  

Frank and Lois were able to join us for dinner which was a very good thing.  You need a lot of people to eat three apple pies!
