Wedding Prep
As the number of days till the wedding grew shorter, wedding preparation took on more of an urgency. There was so much to be done Mike and I needed help. And we got it. The key questions remained though -would we get it all done in time?
All the pond play equipment needed to be cleaned. Even Frankie tried to help. At least I think that is what he is doing.
Mike and Emily cleaned the concrete porches with a tool I gave Mike for Christmas two years ago. I knew it would come in handy. Eventually.
Kathy, my sister, helped by unpacking one of the many boxes that UPS man delivered to the pond. This one had the table runners that were a little wrinkled.
Eli teamed up with Heath and got to learn how to use an electric drill in the process.
It was hard to capture Heath on camera as he was everywhere.
Baleigh, Suzanne and Sela decorated the gazebo while Andy and Jackson were busy cleaning moss out of the pond.
Caitlin, the maid of honor, was pressed into service as the sign writer. Here she is making a last minute but very important addition to our sign postings.
Staci, Heath's mom, with assistance from Baleigh, Heath's sister, made the wedding cupcakes. You can see why she needed several days to work on these. She made four different kinds.

Wow, Kim! What a perfect wedding venue you've got there. It sounds like you thought of every detail, right down to de-mossing the pond! The work you and your terrific team put into this is staggering, a true labor of love. I can already see the barn area coming together at this stage and can't wait to see wedding day pictures (IF you had time to take any, that is). Must mention kudos to Stacy and Baleigh on those fabulous cupcakes. And lastly, love your photos. Throughout your blog I'm enjoying your documentary style and lovely landscapes. So well done!
