Laura Visits

Laura dropped in for a short visit last weekend.  When she told Emily that she was coming, Emily's  tone of voice implied that surely there were better ways for Laura to spend her weekend than with her parents.  I do not know where Emily picked up the idea that Mike and I are boring.  We always make an effort to ensure our guests have a good time when they come to the pond.

For example, just look at all the things Laura did this past weekend.

She got to see how close our crops were getting to being harvested...

And she played with the dogs...

 And she spent time with Grandma...

And she got to use a well equipped kitchen to make her only two specialties- homemade bread and cowboy cookies.  

Laura also got to feed the fish while accompanied by a pack of 6 energetic dogs (where else does this happen?)

And she was woken up Sunday morning at 5:45 am by our rooster.  (I do not feel bad about this.  She was the one who left her window open.)

With fun times like this, I expect to see Laura return for a visit real soon.
