Capturing Geese on Film

We have seen more geese around our place this year than in previous years.  Maybe they are telling their friends about our pond and word is getting around.

On December 22, when just Mike and I and the dogs were home we saw the largest gaggle of geese ever on our pond.  I could not find away to capture all of them on film.  But I tried.

On January 2, we had geese visitors again and this time I had my new camera.  There were not as many geese but I love it when they come all the same.  

On Friday, January 4, I was outside trying to take pictures of the evening sky when I realized there were geese in it.  My new camera enabled me to get some pictures of them flying in formation or in a wedge.  Usually I am unable to capture that.  Of course, the dark rain clouds provided a great backdrop or I still might not have been able to capture them on film.  

Definitely my lucky day.
