The Neighborhood Grows

Suzanne, Heath, their cat Shark and dog Finn moved into the shed apartment late on December 19.  Their car trip from Dallas went well once they got on the road.  The first problem occurred when they were packing the car.  It was either take the cat and dog or all of their stuff.  They were forced to make a choice.  They chose the cat and dog although Shark made his displeasure about traveling clear once the car got moving.  Fortunately Suzanne was smart enough to turn on the child locks so he could not jump out the window.

Mike and I were very happy to have Suzanne and Heath moving closer and I did not want to scare them off but I needed them to work during this very busy time of year.  I had them make our traditional Christmas cut out cookies and they began planning their contributions to our Christmas feast.  Of course, they also still had to find time for Suzanne to unpack enough in the shed apartment that she could set up her Christmas and decorate it.

I did not make them work all the time.  Heath arranged for us to have a family birthday party for Suzanne at Laura's apartment in St. Louis.   We also got the whole family together to decorate the living Christmas tree the rest of us had chosen earlier in the month from Randy's Christmas tree farm.

Still there was little time for Heath and Suzanne to relax after their stressful move.  Christmas was only a few days away and eighteen people were planning to eat their Christmas meal at our house.
