Reducing Our Carbon Footprint

On September 11, we had a delivery at the pond. 

On September 16, another truck arrived.  The drivers of this truck began to unpack the boxes. 

Then they began driving in the 15 foot posts.  They used a local contractor to help them with this.  He had designed his own machine to drive in 15 foot posts.  He attached a fork lift to a skid steer so they could pound a 15 foot post nine feet into the ground.  It was a bit noisy but effective. 

Once they were done, we had 6 posts in the ground.  Now the Solar experts placed a framework on the posts.  

And then finally, we have solar panels in place.  Of course, they are not working yet.  Now we need to have wire trenched from the electric box to the panels.  But that is a project for yet another day.
