Kitty
Even Kitty received toys for Christmas. However, Kitty is not exactly a domesticated cat so toys are not as enthralling to her as outdoor mice and visits from Mike.
Our first problem with the Kitty toys was getting Kitty's toys to her. The dogs wanted to keep them.
So on Christmas day while the dogs were busy playing with one of the new kitty toys, I put the other ones in a bag and hid them. Then later in the week, Mike and Emily took the toys over to Morton Building #1 to see if Kitty wanted to play.
There was no question that Kitty wanted to play. However her first choice of play toys was a rock which came from the garden and not from my toy bag.
Next she tried to get the dogs to play with her. This has been an ongoing theme actually. Mike won't let Frankie get too close to her just in case she brings out the hunter in Frank. Lilly is scared of her and barks like crazy at Kitty from the safety of our garage. Only Blackie will hang around by her but he is not interested in making new friends.
So when Kitty was no longer playing with her rock and Blackie had wandered off, Mike and Emily placed a stuffed toy mouse out on the front porch floor. Kitty took her time but eventually decided to check it out. Emily took the pictures because I had long since lost interest.
Kitty also received a cat tunnel and some laser light toys. We are going to wait and show those to her at a later date as the stuffed mouse currently has her interest. In fact we found it later than night in our garage. I think she was giving it back to us. Or at least showing off for us. That is the place she normally deposits her mice kills.
I'm beginning to hope that more of these toys catch her interest. I could live without the dead mice in front of the freezer in my garage.

The dead mice mean she's trying to provide for you.
