Construction Update #3

This construction update should have been written yesterday evening when I got home from Edwardsville but I forgot.  I was excited because I found a popcorn place there and I was waiting for Laura to come visit and share the Sweetheart Mix with me.  It had red M&M's and candy hearts and popcorn all covered with white chocolate.  It was delicious.  I was so caught up in the popcorn I forgot all about writing the blog.

Yesterday began with the cherry picker stuck in the mud in the backyard.  I knew they were going to have problems when I walked out to feed the chickens early in the morning and realized the ground was not as frozen as it had been in previous days.

The cherry picker stuck in the mud.
The construction crew use this to carry the plywood up to the roof.

So they had to use a ladder and carry the plywood up manually.
Here is how they 'fixed' the ladder so it was safe.

The goal had been to finish the plywood roof but they didn't make it.
I think working without the cherry picker slowed the construction guys down.
