Spending time at the pond

This evening I ventured down to the pond to watch Mike feed the fish.  This is what I saw.

Catfish!
Apparently they are camera shy.
Mike could see them with his polarized fishing glasses but they wouldn't come to the surface to eat for the longest time.
Only after he finished throwing the food and we stood quietly on the deck, did they all show up for dinner.  

At about the time we saw all the catfish coming to the surface, Mike got the strongest urge to start fishing.
He was egged on by Mabel who really wanted to see a fish up close and personal.  

I was not all that interested in seeing a catfish up close and personal so I walked a bit farther around the pond,
to look at the house.  The brick layers completed another part of the back of the house today.  It looks wonderful.
