Over 400 college students from 15 universities participated in last Saturdays canoe competition. Each team brought a concrete canoe to the competition that they designed and constructed during the year. Once at the conference teams gave presentations, arranged displays, showcased team spirit and took part in a series of concrete canoe races with two to four person teams. The team with the best overall score would become one of 18 teams to participate in the ASCE National Concrete Canoe Competition. Also,
Congratulations are due to Bill, Mike, Lois, Laura, Kim and Emily Peterson for collecting over 200 mushrooms so far this 2015 mushroom season.
(Names were listed in order of contributions.)
Here is the latest report from Bill Peterson, Mushroom Hunter Correspondent:
Well I didn't get very many today but I got some big ones. I only got seven mushrooms today. Which gives us a grand total mushroom count of 206. I was also without my buddy Mike again today which is really cutting into my mushroom count.😁😡😜
