Stay Tuned

Here is the latest from my mushroom hunter correspondent in his quest to find as many Morel mushrooms as possible here at the pond.

SENT FROM BILL'S PHONE: Well I only found 16 mushrooms today. Our new grand total is 199 mushrooms. I looked a long time and that's all I could find. I need Mike to help me but he was busy.

Here is a report from Emily Peterson, our ASCE Mid-Continent Regional Concrete Canoe Competition Photographer.  The competition was held in Lawrence Kansas this past weekend.

This is the SIUC Oral Presentation Team.
This is the SIUC team passing the swamp test.
The swamp test is done the day before the races.
Each team needs to prove that their concrete canoe (which they designed and made) will float.
This is a good thing to do before team members actually get in it to race.

Here is the display arranged by the 007 Carbondale Royale Team.

Stay tuned to find out who won the ASCE Concrete Canoe Competition and if Mike ever found the time to help Bill find more mushrooms.
