We plan to have a lot of guests at the farm. It is possible that some of these guests will not be outdoors type of people. So I need to find activities that will appeal to the indoor types. Thus last Saturday, I took Suzanne, Heath, Mike and Emily to the local DeMoulin Museum to check out other touristy activities.
I explained to my group that the DeMoulin company is located in Greenville and is known for making marching band uniforms. The museum was founded by the son of one of the former employees and pays tribute to the founders, employees and products created by this factory. Suzanne, Heath, Mike and Emily contained their enthusiasm for this adventure admirably. In fact, my explanation was met with polite silence for the remainder of the car trip.
The DeMoulin museum did have uniforms on display but the company has produced many other items during their diverse history. The most interesting items were those created for lodge initiations. Think blindfolds, water, gun powder explosions and paddles and you will have described at least one feature of most of the many initiation devises the DeMoulin company produced. Heath thinks most lodge members had to be partially deaf after one of these initiations. I think someone would have to have a pretty immature sense of humor to be part of one of these initiations. I also think we will have to add this to the list of things to see for our future Peterson guests.

| The lodge members just wanted the new members to think they were going to be decapitated. The blade would always get stuck part way down. |

| Here the lodge initiate would be blindfolded and then knives were thrown at him. Or were they? |
