Another party

It was my birthday on Monday but we celebrated it on Sunday because Emily is a working girl and couldn't be here on Monday.  She arrived Saturday night and immediately went to work baking a strawberry cake.  The recipe came from her roommate Dana and was delicious.

Sunday morning Emily, Mike and I went to church and while we were gone, Laura and Michelle decorated the party table.  The theme was 'Exercise'.  All attendees were given exercise head bands to wear and our favors included homemade dumbbells made from toothpicks and Rolos.  Grandpa who is a candy expert had never had a Rolo.  I think he liked them.  They happen to be my favorite if I am not going to eat dark chocolate.

The reason the theme was exercise is because I received a tread climber for my birthday.  Now that we are in the house we have the space for it.  Both Mike and I have been using it ever since.

It was a great day.  Emily cooked me a salmon dinner and I got to spend time with my family and friends.
