Team Horse

While Emily was visiting last week, Mabel made a return trip to the vet to get her cone of shame and stitches removed.  While waiting for Mabel, Emily spied an advertisement showing a horse for sale on the vets bulletin board.  She grabbed a flyer and returned home determine to convince me to buy this horse.  I remained steadfast in not agreeing to a horse so she created a campaign to convince me.  She enrolled Heath, her sisters and Mike into Team Horse and they spent the remainder of the day working horses into the conversation and listing all the pluses to horse ownership.  I only mention this because early the next morning when I walked outside to find three horses on my driveway I was not as startled as I might otherwise have been.

Turned out it was just a coincidence.  While Mike had been at the vet's this last week he had introduced himself to the vet partner who is our neighbor.  He encouraged her to drop by for a visit and that is just what she did.  Lynette arrived on horseback with her son Hunter riding with her.  Alison, her daughter, and her husband Nathan were also there.  I told them all about Team Horse and that the rest of my family was across the street at the grandparents.  Lynette was kind enough to ride over there so my girls could meet her family and her horses.  She even let the girls ride her horses.  Here's hoping that this keeps Team Horse off my case for awhile at least.
