That's It for the Potato Crop
The Fourth of July menu included produce from the Peterson garden patch. I managed to sneak in a small yellow squash casserole and we had to have Granny's Fried Potatoes with the fresh potatoes just harvested from our garden. So while I was making the casserole, Mike went to work frying all those potatoes. They were the most popular item at our dinner table as evidenced by the small amount of leftovers and the affirmative comments Mike received.

I washed all the potatoes we harvested. We ended up with three bowls of sliced potatoes in the refrigerator ready for frying. |

Mike had to fry in batches. We kept the cooked potatoes in the crockpot. Here Mike is taking the cover off a skillet of sizzling hot fried potatoes. |
