While the Parents were away

While Andy, Jonna and Jackson took a two day trip to Chicago, Laura and Emily kept Sela and Jackson well entertained.

All four went to see the movie Pixels at the Vandalia Cinema.  

Afterwards, we made them cook their own dinner and dessert.
We had a wienie roast and then made s'mores with special s'more marshmallows.  

Sela was a bit late to dinner as she was busy climbing our dirt mountain.  

Then the group played 'Old Maid'.
I wonder who lost?

Once it was dark enough outside, the group went out to catch fireflies.
This year they also caught a baby frog.  

The next day, the four of them headed to St. Louis but they made a stop at the gourmet popcorn
store in Edwardsville.  They needed the sustenance for a days worth of activities.  

First stop, Build a Bear in the mall.
What is Eli making?

This is Derek, a beagle.  
He is a cool dude in his leather jacket.

Looks like Eli made Toothless.
Toothless, the very well dressed dragon, is wearing a tux.  

Time for Eli and Toothless to head to Cross Fit.
After watching Laura and Emily attend their exercise class, Eli and Sela got to pick the nights dinner menu.  

Eli and Sela picked pizza for dinner so Laura and Emily took them to Cici's.
Sela and Eli ate Macaroni and Cheese pizza (Emily recommended it) and played in the arcade.
Looks like they had a great time.
