Together Again
The five Peterson's went out to dinner together tonight. We celebrated the fact that Laura was a quarter of a century old today. Or as her friends put it she is halfway to 50.
Suzanne flew in from Dallas and Emily drove up from Carbondale. We ate dinner at Olive Garden because Mike and I had a gift certificate from our builder. He had asked us to let some perspective home building clients view our house. We, of course, spoke very complimentary of him and his team and he got the contract. And then he sent us the gift certificates as a thank you.
After dinner, we left Laura in St. Louis and headed home to the pond. Emily and Mike had business to do at the AT&T store so we stopped in Edwardsville. Then we stopped at the local supermarket which sells Jilly's cupcakes. Jilly's shop is in St. Louis but she is branching out. Jilly's is Suzanne's favorite cupcake place in St. Louis. Suzanne stocked up on cupcakes and then we came home.
Suzanne will be staying a few more days. At least we won't have to give her the farm experience like we did Aunt Kathy. Suzanne has already fed the catfish and cooked s'mores over an open fire. Now I will just have to come up with some new activities to do with my out of town guest.
