Suzanne and Emily

I think today was a fun day for the girls.  I kept them busy in Edwardsville in the early part of the day but they had time to spend at the farm too.

Thank goodness we bought the Jilly's cupcake yesterday because that was Suzanne's breakfast this morning.  She said it was alright to have a cupcake for breakfast because it had apples in it.  Then we went shopping and out to lunch.  Our most popular stop was the gourmet popcorn store in Edwardsville.  I believe we came home with four different kinds of popcorn.

Once home, the girls each brought out their books and picked comfortable chairs in which to read.  However, the also found the energy to tackle a few other activities.

Why are these two looking guilty?

This dog is NOT suppose to be in the house!
He is an outdoor dog! 

Apparently Buddy is needed.  He is the ping pong referee.  

Later in the day I cooked dinner.  We had spaghetti squash with spinach served with locally made Fitz Pumpkin Pop.  The good news is that they liked the squash dish.  The bad news is that they didn't care for the pop.  Suzanne said it was really orange cream soda.  At least it looked pretty.  Never let it be said I do not expose my children to new things.
