Record Rainfall

There was record rainfall this month.  St Louis had the wettest December ever.  Greenville had over 8.5 inches from Saturday to mid day Monday.  They actually closed I70 for one and half days.  When Mike took Suzanne to the airport Monday he had to detour around Pocahontas.  Fortunately I had arranged for them to leave early so they had plenty of time to make it to the airport.

Mike reports that we had 6.6 inches of rain in two days.  He kept checking the pond spillways to make sure the raising water had a place to escape from the pond.  We didn't want any damage to the pond dam.

Can not see the legs of the dock anymore.
Mike had to move his boats to higher ground twice.
Can not even see the spillway pipe so much water is spilling out of it.
Water pouring out of the spillway pipe which is at the far top right of the picture.
Pond water has poured out of the spillway and flooded the wooded area down below the pipe.

After days of rain, a rainbow over the pond.
