The Pond is the Place to Be
Suddenly, Mike and I are popular. Our two daughters who live locally are coming to see us much more frequently than last semester. And even Suzanne who lives in Dallas has already bought plane tickets to come see us in February. Why the sudden surge in popularity? Frankie the puppy of course.
Laura arrived Friday night. She was super excited to realize she had arrived twelve hours before Emily and Dana. That meant she got the puppy all to herself. Of course, Mike and I had only had Frankie to ourselves for four days at that point and we had just gotten him to the point that we didn't have to hold him constantly. We had his play area set up in the mud room where he could see us working in the kitchen and he would actually play with his toys while we worked. Once Laura arrived we were back to nearly constant puppy holding.
The absolute best time to hold Frankie is when he is sleeping. When he is awake he is constantly squirming and nipping at your fingers, buttons, coat sleeves, etc. That's usually when we get the best pictures too.
