Creativity

I have been busy lately crafting, not sewing but crafting.  My crafting skills are not too sophisticated so I have to find very simple projects.

Patriotic wreath made out of clothespins.
I painted all the plain brown wood clothespins and then added them to a wire wreath frame I already had.
A lighthouse made out of upside down terra-cotta pots.
I got the light part of the lighthouse at the Dollar Store.
I've been so into painting that I volunteered to help the VBS decorating group at church.  The theme was Barnyard Roundup.  I painted about 10 pink pigs and one cow.  All of these were made out of empty milk jugs.

Then I painted 17 xerox boxes yellow.  I used latex paint and painted the lids and the bottoms of the boxes in the shed garage.  They took over the shed.  Then I took them to church where the craft team took over.  They made them look like hay bales.

I think it is time to go back to sewing.  Emily and I are already planning to take a quilt making class together in July.  We are committed now because we bought all the fabric for our projects.  We each needed 24 different fabrics for our quilt tops.  I sure hope this project is as easy as the teacher said it was.

Fabrics I pulled at the fabric store to use in my quilt class.
