Scenes from Suzanne's visit

Here are some other photos from last weekend.

I am never quite sure what truly brings Suzanne to the pond.  Is it to reconnect with her parents and sisters or are the five dogs the enticement?

I know the highlight for Heath is the chance to fish.  However, it has become a bit hazardous for him to fish from the bank not to mention not as successful.  Gracie goes in the water after the fish.  Frankie comes to see all the excitement and then when Heath does manage to pull in a fish despite all this activity, Mabel and Gracie go ballistic out of excitement and get the line all tangled.

Despite our dogs bad behavior, Heath does not get mad at them.  He and the girls even took them on a paddle boat ride.  That is Gracie hanging out the back.  Heath is holding Frankie in the middle of the boat to make it easier on the paddlers.

All the activity on our side of the road drew Frank and Lois for a visit.

Later that day we had a 'Dirt Mountain Denouement' Party.  It also was a belated Kim's birthday party and Father's Day event but the theme was the former dirt mountain.  Heath even provided a poster of the dirt mountain in case we had forgotten what it looked like.  I took this picture nearly a year ago when Sela and Eli were visiting.  That is Sela on top of the dirt.

We had dirt in a bowl as the centerpiece and a special dessert.  We had before cupcakes and after cupcakes.  The before cupcakes looked like the dirt mountain with tons of chocolate icing and oreo cookie crumbs sprinkled on top.  The after cupcakes had green coconut on top to represent the flat ground and grass. In actuality of course, the grass is still a dream.

Whatever draws our Dallas visitors to the pond, I just hope they keep on coming to visit.  We all have a great time when they do.
