Projects

Besides enjoying the unseasonably warm weather, Mike and I have kept busy with various activities around the house.

Mike has been watching the Cubs play in the World Series.  He has been trying out various lucky viewing spots in the house.  He thought he found one in the backyard.  He sat outside in his swing hammock and watched the TV through the basement window.  Unfortunately or fortunately his team lost that night so he has not watched the game from this seat since.

I have kept busy with sewing projects.  I made this turkey head for Thanksgiving and a mummy pillow for Halloween.  

The farmers came and took out all our soybean crops.  We watched them work but it did not take them very long.  They have large equipment and we have small fields.

Mike has also spent quite a bit of his free time reorganizing his shed garage.  October was his two year retirement anniversary and he thought it was about time he straightened out his space.  Note that Blackie is not his constant shadow any more.  But Mike is rarely without a dog.  Here he has Gracie.
