A Trip
I went to visit Suzanne in Dallas last weekend. I had a great time. It is always a broadening experience to hang around the big city.
We shopped at a Whole Foods market while I was there. Even though we have one in St. Louis there were a few differences. First off they have a wine bar in the store instead of a coffee bar. And the selection of fresh herbs was a bit broader. They also obviously prefer their organic customers to the rest of us less broad minded individuals.
We also went out to eat. My request was a Mexican restaurant. I sent this picture back to Mike. We do not eat much Mexican in Illinois for obvious reasons. So I was enjoying my first Margarita in awhile. You can see in Texas they believe bigger is better.
Suzanne hangs around with coffee connoisseurs. The only Starbucks I went to was in the airport. We checked out a lot of different coffee places, two of which roasted their own beans. I decided I had to be adventurous too. So when I saw the coffee of the day was Rose Spice Latte I had to try. I drank the whole thing but I think if this opportunity comes up again I will pass. It even came with an edible flower.
I also went to a restaurant that served English Pub food and had fish n'chips for the first time in my life. They were really good. I wonder if I can make them at home in my new Air Fryer?
So if I can not live in the big city maybe I can bring some of these items to me. Maybe I will start by raising edible flowers.
