'Locals' Coming Round

Mike was working on the gazebo over the weekend when he looked up and found he had an audience.

Although our daughters had helped Mike put the roof on the gazebo, the roof was not completely finished.  Mike needed to cover the eight seams with eight rows of shingles.  While he was doing this he attracted an audience over by the pond.  Our normal six geese were hanging around and then two more joined them.

All in all the geese were pretty quiet as they faced the activity on the shore.  They stayed and watched what was happening on land for quite awhile.

Although it is possible they were watching our dog visitor.  Emily, the dog, from across the street was checking things out.  I do not believe our geese had ever met her before.  

Anyway, I am sure the geese liked whatever it was they were observing.  I hope they are as open minded about Morton Building #2 and the building crew when they finally show up.
