Emily's Spring Break

Emily had a whole week off from school for spring break.  While other college students go to the beach somewhere she took a more non traditional break.  She helped put up a gazebo and worked at the school administrative office.  I tried to break up all this 'working' by planning some fun activities.

Early in the week, we planned a family dinner in St. Louis.
We checked out Bailey's Range with Laura.
After dinner, Laura gave Emily a belated birthday present.
It was a calendar with pictures of Frankie the dog from puppy size
until the present.  Emily liked it so much she
drove all the way back to Carbondale to hang it in a place of honor.
(Of course, she had to go back there to work too.)
When Emily returned to the pond, after working in Carbondale,
she spent quality time with her sister Laura...
and with her Dad and Frankie the dog...
and with Gracie and...
with her grandparents.
Not to mention that I cooked her lots of delicious food.

Since she is smiling in all of these pictures, I think we can conclude that my efforts to entertain her were successful.
