Getting Back to Normal

Mike and I have been trying to get back into our normal routine since coming back from California.  It is not always easy.  There are wedding reminders everywhere.  For instance, as I drive up the driveway I can still see the wedding sign post that Heath created (and installed with some able assistance from Eli and his electric drill).

And then there are the flowers from the wedding ceremony.  I opened the garage refrigerator when I got home and found all 12 canning jar vases that were used to create a wedding aisle during the ceremony.  They were hung form shepherds hooks and lined the aisle.  They still looked pretty good so I took them out of the refrigerator and decorated the different rooms of my house.

Mike was excited to finally be able to use Morton Building #2 as he always intended - as storage for his larger pond stuff like the riding mower and the blob.  Once he had done this, he decided to build a workbench in Morton Building #1.  He had some birthday monies from my brother that he used to buy wood at Buchheit's and then he got to work.

The work bench looks great.  I cannot vouch for the rest of Morton Building #1.  It is still full of stuff that needs a home including the large score four game that Heath made for the wedding.

Score Four Game in use at wedding.
Nevertheless, we are moving on with our lives.  Mike has even found time to go fishing with his brother.  Of course, they are out there fishing because they want to best the latest fishing record which occurred, you guessed it, during the wedding festivities.  Jordan, Heath's brother caught the largest bass ever on our pond at 7 1/4 pounds and Bill and Mike are sure there is an even larger one out there.

Two pounders are not
acceptable any more.

Anyway, I am sure things will get back to normal around here eventually.

I'm sure it's a combo of relief and satisfaction that the wedding is over. So much prep for so long, but looks like you're on to the next thing and the next. What a fun life and family you have there on the pond!
