Snapshots from 2017

Mike uploaded all the pictures from his Trail Camera that has been set up on a tree over by the dock.  It has been taking pictures from January thru July.  Unexpectedly, we did not find many wildlife on the camera.  Instead we found pictures of our many pond visitors.

In February a family of deer walked across the dam.  I am glad we have added another building to our property since then.  Maybe this winter we will keep the kayaks and paddle board inside.

In late April, Emily and her roommate Dana dropped by to visit with Uncle Bill and hopefully to hunt morel mushrooms.  Unfortunately, they were too late for mushrooms but it looks like they found other things to do.  (Emily usually vets any pictures of her that I use in my blog but since she no longer lives in Illinois I guess I can just skip that step when writing the blog.)  It looks like she may have hurt her hand?

Throughout the year, our neighbors drop by to use our trails on which to ride their horses.  Here is an excellent picture of one of their horses and a funny one of their daughter who obviously knew she was being photographed.

In June, Heath and Suzanne came out to work on wedding planning.  In this picture Heath is either scouting locations for the photographer or he is about to go fishing?

Later in the month Andy, Sela and Eli came for a visit.  I guess Andy could not resist posing for the camera.

And then later during their visit, Sela was taught to drive the four wheeler by Uncle Mike.  Later in the month she got to show off her new skill to Emily.

Its too bad the battery went dead before the wedding in August.  We would have had some great shots I'm sure.  Although probably not of wildlife.
