The Wedding
The wedding began at 4 pm. I did not get pictures of the ceremony but I do have a few of the dress rehearsal. We had to have the dress rehearsal because we had not yet practiced with our musician, harpist Elaine.
After the ceremony I was a bit busy and did not get any pictures of the bride and groom until after they had gone swimming and boating in the pond. Actually quite a few people did that. Heath had invited everyone to change into shorts or swimsuits and enjoy the outdoors.
At about 6 pm though everyone came out of the water and adjourned to Morton Building #2 otherwise known as the reception hall (for that day only). We had dinner and a cake cutting ceremony.

As the day grew darker, Mike started a fire and I brought out the s'more fixings. After that we grabbed our drinks for several toasts led by Caitlin (maid of honor), Jordan (best man) and Heath.
The grand finale was a fantastic fireworks display held on the dam and over the pond. For those of our guests who had spent part of their time looking for the 14 hidden Mickey's, it turns out there were 15 if you count this one.

What a perfect day. Everything is so the essence of "Suzanne & Heath". They put the focus on loving each other, friends, family & fun! I know they will have a wonderful, joyful marriage. And what a fine start to it all!
So glad you have this blog and shared the wedding, Kim. We wanted to be there, but this is the next best thing. Can't wait to see the other photos and video later, too. Congratulations to you & Mike on giving Suz the ideal wedding she wanted and on gaining an amazing son in Heath.
PS If you ever wanted to, I'm sure the St. Louis brides would line up to use your pond and MB2 for their weddings! Or at the very least, one down and two to go! :)
