Signs of Spring

Today is the first day of spring.  I went looking for evidence.

Laura's boss had her 20th annual St. Patricks Day party.  This is definitely a spring tradition although Laura has only attended for the last three years.  

The weather seems more spring like.  We are getting rain and wind.  

My plants are showing signs of life.  Here my day lilies are sending off new growth underneath last years dead leaves.  

The hydrangeas are showing signs of leafing out also.  

All our solar lights are much brighter now that the batteries charge better with the longer daylight hours.  

But this item from Dairy Queen is definitely the most encouraging sign so far!  And the most delicious.
