What's Happenin'

While I was out searching for the log that had floated across the pond the other night, I took some pictures of a great sunset.

The geese have become semi-permanent residents.  When the weather is good we rarely see them but a rainy day brings them back by.  

We noticed that the baseboard in the basement was feeling spongy and had a water mark.  Sure enough, there is a leak in the basement wall.  This is the same wall that had a leak a couple of years ago but it is in a different place.  Thank goodness.  At least we know it can be fixed since the first leak has not resumed leaking.  

Mike recreated a photo from Frankie's puppyhood.  It was Laura's idea.  Suzanne created this comparison shot.  Mike had to wait until Frankie was sound asleep on the mud room floor before he attempted the photo shoot.  We needed a mellow Frankie.  

I cannot include any pictures of morel mushrooms.  Mushroom hunting just has not been very successful this year.  Mike checks daily when he walks the dogs through the timber but no luck.  There is still some hope as the weather has begun warming up.  Look for further updates next week.
