Construction Crew

Our builder had some down time in his schedule and unexpectedly dropped by on Tuesday.  Since then our basement has been a bevy of activity.

The first order of business was to repair the hole in the drywall that they had created so that the professionals could fix a water leak.  We know that leak has been good and fixed because the hole has been there since April and has not gotten wet once despite the heavy rains we have had.  That was good news.  The hole was soon patched and now with paint on it you can not tell it was ever there.

While this was going on, Mike, Larry our builder, and I discussed the short wall in front of our new sectional couch.  We wanted to put a fireplace on that wall.  Larry made his usual useful suggestions and the project was officially begun.

Next step is to schedule the tile guy.  Since he lives with me this should not be too hard to manage.
