Laura Flannery's Visit

Laura Flannery was at the pond for approximately four days and besides actually celebrating Thanksgiving, we had to come up with some more things to do with her.

We took her to Dairy Queen.

We took her to historic St. Charles, Missouri.  There we shopped
and met over 21 Christmas characters who were walking the streets.
Afterwards we still had the energy to go to the St. Louis Premium Outlet Mall
which based on the number of packages we brought home was a success.

It is a tradition when Laura Flannery comes that we craft.
This year we made Christmas ornaments.

While visiting Laura Flannery was visiting us, Mike took advantage of the
Black Friday sales to buy two fishing kayaks.  Then, of course, the
girls had to christen them.  While they were on the pond, Laura
Flannery and Laura Peterson took the opportunity to rescue our
summer bull float that had gotten stuck months ago.

On Laura's last night at the pond, we had a bonfire and cooked hot dogs
and s'mores.  What was unusual about this event was that it was pouring rain but
Mike our creative problem solver managed to make our plans a reality anyway.

On Laura's last day, she woke up to find snow on the ground.
Emily came up with the idea to have Mike drag them on the saucer
behind the RZR in the snow.  What a great way to end her visit!
