Dog Antics

Just because it has been extra busy around here since Suzanne and Heath have moved back does not mean the dogs have been ignored.  Just the opposite in fact, they love when Suzanne and Heath appear every weekend and half of our dog pack moves into the shed apartment with them.  So actually our dogs are now getting extra attention.

Finn, which is Suzanne and Heath's dog, is still having a great time visiting the pond.  He has taken to chasing any vehicles which come up and down our driveway.  This is not a good thing.  He also found a new chew toy the other day.  I was outside trying to catch hold of him before the UPS truck drove off and he was not cooperating.  He wanted to play with what I thought was a stick he had brought out of the timber.  I finally grabbed him and went to take the stick out of his mouth so he would mind me.  I decided not to grab the stick when I realized it was really part of a deer's legs with the foot still attached.  The UPS man was a little concerned when I started yelling but I waved him off and called for Mike to come remove Finn's new toy.

As I mentioned before, Heath spends a good part of his weekends in the workshop part of our shed.  The dogs like to join him.  Heath thinks they are there because they enjoy his company but apparently not.  Frankie was actually in the shed looking for new play things.  Once he found what he wanted, he snuck it back outside so he could play with it in the yard undisturbed.  Unfortunately for him, he was spotted and photographed doing the crime.

Emily, Lois's dog, has been spending her days with us also.  Not because we need any more dogs over here but because she had surgery and needed round the clock watching and medicating.  To protect her incision she has had to wear a t-shirt.  It is very effective at keeping the wound clean even if she just does not look like herself while wearing it.

Now that Emily is feeling better she is spending her days over at Lois's house.  And in a few weeks Finn will be moving into his new home with Suzanne and Heath.  Then our dogs will no longer be receiving all this extra attention.  I hope they will be able to settle back into our normal quieter routine.  Only time will tell.
