Heath's Free Time

Suzanne and Heath have bought a home and will be moving into it at the end of the month.  That means that I only have two more weekends when Suzanne and Heath stay at the pond and Heath is looking around for something to do.  Once they move into their own space, I figure he will be working on Suzanne's projects instead of mine.

This last weekend I decided to be a better hostess and I invited Suzanne and Heath to come to a local craft show with me.  I had a great time at the craft show.  I bought a couple of Easter wreaths to adorn my porches and I bought Mike some Girl Scout cookies.  Suzanne and Heath did not buy anything so I worried that they had not enjoyed themselves.  Turns out, Heath had used the opportunity to get some wood working ideas.  He decided to make Suzanne and I some free standing cut out bunnies like he had just seen.  He spent the trip home working out the design details with Suzanne.  He mentioned needing some supplies so I suggested we stop at Buchheit's since we were driving right by it anyway.

Heath really likes Buchheits.  He likes their tools.  Suzanne does not like it quite as much but it is growing on her.  She is very fond of Arnold the pig and when I mentioned that they provide free popcorn she leapt out of the truck to join us in the store.  Once inside the store, we split up.  I went to look at dog toys but I soon spotted Suzanne and Heath.  Suzanne was enjoying her popcorn while following Arnold the pig around the store.   Suzanne was overjoyed that we had timed our shopping trip to catch Arnold on his daily walk.  Based on Suzanne's response to Arnold, I am thinking she may be bringing all her upcoming out of town guests to Buccheit's for Arnold's walk.

Once Arnold was back in his cage, we finally left Buchheits and headed back to the pond where Heath began work on our bunnies.  He did all his work in the shed part of Morton Building Number 1 and I know he was extra productive because of how clean it was.  All the yard equipment had been moved out the previous week and the place looked cavernous with all the remaining items arranged around the walls.  Of course, this had been Heath's project the previous weekend.  It had been at least a year since the shed had been cleaned and it probably would have been another year before it was cleaned again if it was not for Heath.

Later that day, I took Suzanne and Heath out to the theater.  We saw the high school production of Newsies which, it turned out, was a favorite play of Suzanne's.  Even so, Heath was able to find the time to finish our bunnies before they left that weekend.  I currently am enjoying mine and I know Suzanne can not wait to use her's to decorate her new home.

I wonder what Heath is going to work on next weekend?
