Getting Ready for Easter Weekend
We were going to have a full house on Easter weekend. Emily was coming in from California midnight Wednesday and staying at our house in the new bunk bed. Suzanne's friend Caitlin was coming in from Dallas the next evening and staying at Suzanne and Heath's home. All three of them would be staying at our house Saturday night whereas Laura would be staying at our house (in the new bunk room) starting on Friday.
Here's what we did in preparation-
Mike finished the vegetable garden. He added more rock and set up our new raised beds. He also added pavers so I can walk to the garden and to the chicken shed and not get my feet wet.
You can see that the garden fence is already working well at keeping the dogs from walking through my garden beds.
Then Mike went fishing.
I got busy preparing for our Easter meals. I made favors and baked bread.
And stopped to try to capture a visiting heron on film with my new camera. She or he is very camera shy.
We were really concerned about how popular the new bunk bedroom would be so I spent some time making it as attractive and functional as possible. We added a power strip to the room so that I could attach a phone cord to each of the bunks headboards and I bought new matching sheets and comforters. I even moved a fan in there. Here is a picture of some very happy visitors and Blackie. I think this new room can be deemed a success.

Everything looks great and those bunkbeds are terrific! So cozy and they'll get a ton of use, I'm sure.
