Keeping Busy
Moving Day
Suzanne and Heath moved into their new home last Sunday. Mike, Laura and a friend of Laura's helped them.
I arrived on Monday to wait on the new washer and dryer and was invited to join them for dinner. Shark has already moved into his new home although Finn is staying at our house another week.
Visitors
Bill and his dog Willie are here. For Bill and his mom Lois, April is their favorite month of the year. It is time for mushroom hunting. Bill was not here twenty four hours before he was outside looking for signs of mushrooms. He stopped the Polaris to say hi to our dogs and they all jumped in his vehicle for a ride.
We also have had local visitors. Hunter had a strong urge to go fishing with this warmer spring weather and was able to convince Mike to join him. His timing was perfect. He got to use a boat with a reliable battery and an unbroken emergency paddle. Hunter caught the biggest fish of the day but he conceded that Mike caught the most.
Activities
Laura returned to her normal routine after her spring break here at the farm. She gave out all the embroidered scarves we made and they apparently were a big hit.
I was caught up in planning the church egg hunt. We decided to give out a set of Holy Week eggs to each family so I took over shopping for and making 50 of them.
In the meantime, Mike was busy building a queen size bunk bed for our guests. We bought the frame but is was unassembled and unfinished. Once he was done I helped him put on the mattresses and make the beds.

What a happy time for Suzanne & Heath! You all must be so proud of all their planning and hard work. I sure am. PS Made me smile to see, in the first photo, hand-me-downs from Caitlin & Suz's apartments - Nani's wing chair and a pillow from my old bedding set. I know they're enjoying making the house their home!
