Finn's Holiday

Finn joined his family in spending the Easter weekend here at the pond.  They arrived shortly before noon but I did not immediately see Finn.  While Suzanne, Heath and Caitlin came into the house to say hello, Finn took off to join Mike and the other dogs on their daily timber trail walk.

After the walk, our dogs took a rest but not Finn.  He was still running around investigating the young people doing their activities.

But not for long.  I do not know if we become boring to him or if he gets more treats across the street from Uncle Bill, but for whatever reason, Finn took himself off to visit our family neighbors.  We only knew he was there when we received these pictures of Finn hanging on the couch with Bill.

Finn was eventually returned to us in time to participate in mushroom hunting.   He has no patience for the actual hunting part.  He just wants to run, leap, cliff dive into the stream, and dig.  Emily observed him doing all these things while she was looking for mushrooms.

We know Finn loves the rest of us too.  He does check in from time to time.

But eventually he has to go home.

If for no other reason than to rest up for his next visit.
