Things to Do in St. Louis

Sela and Eli spent most of their visit in Illinois but managed to get in some Missouri sight seeing as well.  Of course, the first thing they did when they got off the plane was to eat dinner at CiCi's pizza.  That is a tradition.  But then they headed straight to the pond and were not able to get back to St. Louis until they spent the weekend at Laura's apartment.  

While visiting Laura, they did the typical touristy things.  They ate at Laura's favorite restaurant Chick-Fil-A.  They also visited her Cross Fit gym.  

It was a rainy weekend when the kids visited Laura so she took them to the indoor Amp Up Action Park where they could not only play Laser Tag but climb on a High Ropes course and be part of the human Hamster Balls.  It was so successful the kids went again when Emily came into town.  

Later in their visit, when Sela and Eli's parents came to town, we went back to St. Louis to play Top Golf.  We had a great morning there hitting golf balls, comparing scores and eating great food.  Then we split up.  One group went to the new SpiderMan Movie and another group went to the old town of St. Charles.  

Besides the chocolate store, the favorite stop of the St. Charles group was Candle Fusion.  Andy, Jonna, Sela and Kim spent a pleasant half hour creating scented candles.  The time consuming part of the process was choosing the three or four scents to go into the candle and then mixing them so there was the perfect component of each.  Each of us did this for ourselves so when we left we had four uniquely scented candles.

It's possible though that the highlight for the Spilsbury's was discovering a St. Louis Duluth Trading store and getting to shop at it.  Anyway, I have already made a note that the next time the Spilsburys' visit, we shall have to include some time in St. Louis.
